LibQUAL+ is a suite of services that can be used to assess and improve library services. The survey, which takes 10-15 minutes to complete, includes 27 questions on users expectations for specific resources, services, and environment; demographic questions, questions about respondents' use of Steen Library, and a box for comments.

Academic Search Complete (Ebsco) is a multidisciplinary index giving access to articles in over 8000 journals with many available in full text.
Expanded Academic ASAP (Gale Cengage Learning) is a general database with indexing for journal, magazine and newspaper articles, with many of the articles available full text.
Google Scholar provides a search of scholarly literature across many disciplines and sources, including theses, books, abstracts and articles.
Wilson Select Plus (FirstSearch) is a general database that contains full text articles from popular and scholarly journals and magazines.
Art Abstracts (Ebsco) indexes more than 200 international arts publications.
Arts and Humanities Search (First Search) covers articles in literature, language, art and the performing arts.
Contemporary Women's Issues (Firstsearch) provides full text access to information on women from journals, newsletters, research reports, and fact sheets.
Fine Arts and Music Collection more than 100 full-text journals and magazines providing resources in drama, music, art history, and filmmaking.
Databases for Advanced ResearchAmerica: History and Life (Ebsco) gives citations and abstracts for articles dealing with history of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present.
Dissertations & Theses (ProQuest) includes bibliographic citations for dissertations and theses world wide from 1861 to the present with full text access available for the newer titles and abstracts available for the older titles.
WorldCat (FirstSearch) is a catalog of millions of books, audiovisuals and other materials owned by libraries worldwide. We can borrow books SFASU students and faculty identify.

A product of the Steen Library’s Digital Projects Department, TIDES (Teaching Images Digital Experiences) contains a wide variety of images from museums including paintings, sculptures, and Mexican folk art, as well as videos featuring interviews with traditional artisans. TIDES also offers K-12 lesson plans, many of which are focused on art.
Art cyclopedia: the fine art search engine
The Art cyclopedia is a searchable index of high-quality images of paintings, sculptures and other great works of fine art that can be viewed online. Where possible, artists are classified by movement (e.g. cubism, impressionism), by medium (e.g. photography, sculpture), by subject matter (e.g. landscapes, still life), and by nationality. The site also includes art news and a comprehensive list of art museum sites worldwide.
The Getty Provenance Index ® Databases
The databases contain indexed transcriptions of material from auction catalogs and archival inventories of western European works of art, and contain nearly 1,000,000 records that cover the period from the late 16th century to the early 20th century. The databases are available free of charge via the Web. Other specialized databases are available from the Getty website.
