There are several interesting and unusual headstones which turn the eye and are included because of the beauty of their workmanship. Any visit to Oak Grove should also include a visit to these sites.

Bennett Blake (Nov. 11, 1809 - Mar. 1, 1896) served as Chief Justice of Nacogdoches for several years during the Republic. His two wives and his brother are buried across the road from him, also in brick vaults. |
